A UDRP panel has ruled that MyHikes, LLC, which runs a hiking app at MyHikes.org, attempted reverse domain hijacking of MyHikes.com.

The panel found that the .com domain was registered back in 2005, long before MyHikes, LLC began using the name or filed trademarks in 2025. Since the domain predated the company, it couldn’t have been registered in bad faith.

The panelist also noted that MyHikes, LLC tried to buy the domain before filing the complaint, which was seen as an abuse of the UDRP process.

Verdict: The domain owner keeps MyHikes.com.
