Wix Co-founder Launches New AI-Powered App Builder, Dazl

The no-code website builder space is heating up with the rise of AI-first development tools. Even as platforms like Wix (NASDAQ: WIX) and Squarespace work to integrate AI into their site-building experiences, new competitors are emerging that start with AI at their core.

One of those competitors is Dazl, a new venture from Wix co-founder Nadav Abrahami. Abrahami is leaving Wix to lead the new startup, taking 30 employees with him. Notably, Wix itself is backing the project, along with early Wix investor 40RTY Fund.

What Dazl Aims to Solve

Dazl argues that today’s AI development tools fall short of delivering production-ready results. Its platform is designed to bridge the gap between a creator’s intent and a fully working application:

“Dazl’s proprietary technology bridges the gap between creative and expressive intent and the final working product, nurturing a true partnership between the maker and AI.”

The goal is to give creators a single platform where outputs are consistent, reliable, and launch-ready.

Funding and Domain Choice

Dazl launches with $10 million in funding, putting it in a strong position to experiment and grow quickly.

The company is operating on the domain Dazl.dev. The matching Dazl.com is owned by Bank of New York Mellon, which previously used it for a financial platform.

With Abrahami’s track record and fresh capital, Dazl could emerge as a serious AI-native competitor in the app-building space.
