Amazon Registry is rolling out three new top-level domains (TLDs) today: .fast, .talk, and .you.
Early Access Phase (Sept 25 – Oct 5)
The launch begins with an 11-day Early Access Program (EAP), where domains are sold in a Dutch auction format. Prices start extremely high on day one and drop daily until general availability.
For example, registrar 101Domain is charging:
-
Day 1 – $11,999
-
Day 5 – $2,049
-
Final EAP Day (Oct 5) – $199
General Availability (Oct 6)
Once the domains open to the public on October 6, prices will normalize:
-
.fast – around $30/year
-
.talk – around $54/year
-
.you – around $30–$54/year
The Standout: .you
Among the three, .you is likely to draw the most attention. Like .me, it pairs naturally with verbs and short words to create personal, memorable domain names (e.g., “Join.you” or “Call.you”).
However, premium domains under .you — especially short, four-letter names — will carry hefty annual fees, with some already priced in the five-figure range.
